Tonight we are experiencing a spectacular lunar eclipse. It started around 6:15 and at 7:15 it is almost fully covered. We have a very clear night for viewing but it is too darn cold out to sit out on lawn chairs.

We were at Rosens for a Morrocan gourmet dinner and after our meal we all went out to their deck. It was a clear night -2oc and we saw this very shot. The moon was very bright and irredescent. We had binnoculars and the shadow of the eart was eerie

Cat Stevens (aka Yusuf Islam)… that artist goes back a long way. That song reminds me of a visit from a young woman and companion from Florida (or California, I forgot when the move occurred) that drove up in a beat-up hippy van. So long ago, it was another life time. Seems to me they had a whole collection of Cat Stevens tapes.
Isn’t that odd. I really don’t remember that at all. When I think of Cat Stevens, I think of an album that was kicking around in the house in Ottawa. Anyway, the photograph does capture the shadows of another world. Remembrances of time past (or apparently, forgetting of time past)
