Here is a quick recipe you will all be thanking me for.
Eileen’s Easy Almond Bark
graham crackers
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 lb butter
1 pkg milk chocolate chips
hand full of chopped nuts
-Lay crackers over parchment paper (or foil) lined baking dish. The
glass pyrex or corning elongated baking dishes work best. I find the
metal pans burn the carmalized sugar.
-In a sauce pan, melt the butter and the brown sugar, stir until
dissolved or fully melted. Its ok if it bubbles a bit.
-Free pour the carmalized mixture over all the crackers and smooth and
distribute evenly.
-Sprinkle the chopped nuts on top of the caramel.
-Bake in oven 350oF for 15min. Check to see that it does not burn at the
edges as every oven cooks differently. It should be bubbling.
-Take it out of the oven and have it sit for a few minutes.
-Sprinkle the entire package of milk chocolate chips onto everything
while the mixture is still piping hot. When the chips have melted,
smooth them about.
-Cool in fridge or freezer and when completely hardened break it apart
into bark size pieces. Enjoy!
