First and foremost I want to say “Happy Birthday Laura”. We were very fortunate to have all the Gillier siblings back together at the family farm for the first time in 15 years. The weather was fantastic, the company tolerable [ …joke, Martha] and the food/beverages plentiful. Many thanks to everyone who dug in donating their energy and resources to make this get together an enjoyable success. Mom had a great time seeing everyone and sharing stories, food, and drink. The Royalty Family have a new member in their family tree. William and Jean Royalty wish to announce the birth of their first granddaughter Madison-Elizabeth. Angela and Eric became proud first time parents this morning at 8:10AM at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. Madison arrived as a happy and healthy 7 lbs. 7 oz. girl – 19 in. tall and both Mom and Daughter are doing well. Check back soon for a picture when the hospital posts them online here.

This past weekend was a happy day for all. Andy Bako had his First Holy Communion on Sunday at the 10:30 mass at St Christopher. He is in Grade 4 and I being his Godmother was very pleased that he received the sacrament. Cindy had a elegant catered party following mass. Andy was very happy and had fun with his cousins. We gave him a loot bag of religious items… rosary beads, first prayer book with holy cards, cross tie tac, framed picture of St Andrew and scroll with the story of who St Andrew was, and a crucifix for his room. Happy Birthday Mom! John and Rosemary suggested and arranged a birthday party for Mom today and it included all Mom’s favourite things. Chinese food, gifts, family, and beer! What else could you want? Well in our clan, if someone brings beer, family usually show up :-) The nursing staff didn’t seem to mind the Gillier Occupation and it was a good time. We took over the sitting and dining/card table just off the main lobby and I think Mom enjoyed all the pedestrian traffic going by offering their best wishes. Thanks for making the trip down and back today J&R and the care package was much appreciated. It’s always a pleasure to see you guys again. Click read more for two pictures.

Happy Birthday Ladies! It was a pleasure to share your birthday celebrations once again. Martha, Laura, and I spent a few days in downtown Toronto this March break and we were able to join Eileen and Nick for a great dinner at the Breakwater Restaurant in Mississauga. We had a delicious meal and a few laughs then back to Bako’s for birthday cake and gift exchange. All in all it was a great way to ring in a pair of St Paddy’s Day birthdays. Peter amd Brian had their birthday party on the PA Day which was Friday Sept 13th. They just happened to be turning 13 on that day as well. The weather was picture perfect and they celebrated with their friends with a pool party. I have posted a few of their friends in the hot tub and hamming it up for the camera. I now have a house full of teenagers…….and enjoying it !!!!
