Wow, today was a long day. The cement truck arrived late afternoon and the cement was laid on the front stoop, side patio ond sidewalk. We chose a salmon tinted concrete and it really compliments the brick walls on the house. They have just finished up and it is 10:30. It looks great! They have taken much care putting a swirlly textured design on the surface with ridged edges, perfect!
Laura baked chocolate chip cookies, made a pot of coffee and took it out to the guys. The temperature is on the chilly side and they said it is perfect to cure the mixture.
It looks great! I am going to Rosen Lake tomorrow to talk to a builder and start on our garage/suite design. Drawings will be ready by the end of Oct.
Martha I raced home today from taste testing to click onto the blog to see the progress via photo-log. Did you happen to save your lilies, sedum and rhododendrums from the front to transplant into your new landscaping scheme? I love the tinted cement. Will all be ready for Thanksgiving?

She was still watching them, but the drool wasn’t as prevalent (plus they weren’t off-duty firemen). Too chilly for the guys to take off their shirts.
The guys are returning on Monday and pour the rest of the courtyard out front.
