After many long years of service, Gram has decided to retire. His replacement should be ready in a month or so just in time to use the 4×4.

Heading Home
It is hard to believe we have been away from home for 7weeks and it is now time to head back. The time has been so enjoyable both at Carol’s Cottage and at the Sea Isle Condos. We have many fond memories to hold us till next year…
We left Key Colony Beach on Sunday March 1st at 10:30 after I had a chance to have one more swim in the pool and a last dip in the Ocean. The Bike and belongings all loaded with precision into the truck and trailer and we headed up the Florida Turnpike to Ocala Florida. The temp when we left the Keys was 29C and as we traveled north it slowly got cooler till it dropped to 10C.
On Monday we were watching the snow that was blasting the eastern seaboard and decided our next stop over would be McDonough Georgia which is just south of Atlanta. The roads have been good and the travel scenic. We are heading to Bill and Jean’s today and should be at Harrington Lake by supper.
Hey…It looks like it is cool in KCB
Just checked the temperature and it said that it is 14?, sunny and clear. Hmm, should I rethink my packing and bring long sleeved instead of sleeveless? Lets see… maybe a little hoola hoop cardio exercising might heat us up a bit. A little fortification won’t hurt either. My bags are packed and I’m ready to go. See you on Sunday for Happy Hour
Good Morning America
Today is a new day!!
Just look at that sunrise over the canal in your backyard at Key Colony Beach!!
I take my coffee black!!
Cold snap hits Florida
The CNN just did a feature on the cold snap hitting Florida. Frozen Strawberries being harvested. What about the lemons and key Limes down your way in Key Colony Beach, Fla.? Mind you frozen strawberry margaritas sound mighty inviting.
Bon Voyage
“…your bags are packed and your ready to go, leavin’ in a Toyota Tundra, don’t know when we’ll be back again…” Have a great trip and enjoy the journey to Cocomo.
Soybean Harvest
Today was the start of our soybean harvest. The weather has been amazing and our neighbour came with his combine and started the field near our house today. I was able to capture a few photos to share with you all and the album link is available after the break… Continue reading
Teen Years Bite the Dust
Happy 20th Birthday Laura. :bday: You have surfed your way through the teen years without a wipeout on the big wave. Today, you venture into a whole new realm of twenty something. When I phoned you tonight you said you were playing teen games and being a kid for the last time. Hey listen, just because the teen years have bit the dust doesn’t mean that you can’t still play and have fun. Enjoy!
Chatham Retrofest Weekend
The 6th Annual Retrofest was held in Chatham this weekend and it seemed to be a well attended event. Friday was the Classic Cruise night and Saturday was the Car Show on King St followed by a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band for a
BeachFreeze Party in the evening. The temps during the dance fell down to 10°C and unfortunately the attendance suffered for it. We still had a good time plus our share of the Margaritas. You can check out our photos and a short video after the jump. Continue reading
Spring Time Activity
Tom was planting his corn today and while waiting for him to break for supper, I grabbed our camera and headed down to the bush to capture some wild-flowers. You can see my pictures in our picasa photo album. 4tgphotos/Springtime
