Christmas Draws to a Close

Merry Christmas and Season’s Greetings All!
It was a bountiful Christmas yule tide for the Gillier’s this year. Very thankful and happy with lots of lounging and eating and chatting. We are experiencing a beautiful white Christmas this year, not house bound but warm and cozy! On Christmas Eve big snowflakes gently drifted down and hung on the trees blanketing the landscape – looking so pretty.

Tom, Laura and I had a lovely creamed salmon and seafood pasta for supper and went off to Midnight Mass at St. Ursula’s. Again the choir including Bernie and Joe Malo did a fantastic job with their Christmas medleys and cantering.
It is great having Jaclyn home and to have John and Rosemary to laugh and share some excellent beer and Christmas punch with. Tom talked me into cooking a fresh 20lb turkey this year with all the fixings and we ate after exchanging and opening the mountain of presents under the tree…
Irene throughly was in her glory being very content and happy to be around family, enjoying the snacks, the meal and hanging on to every conversation. Rosemary and I took her back at 7:30 and got her into her new flannel PJ’s. We then returned to join Tom and John in their PJ’s to snuggle and watch Pirates of the Caribbean DVD.
The next morning everyone got a chance to sleep in. Laura made pancakes, peameal bacon, OJ, cinnamon toast and Island Reserve coffee ahhhhhhhh! What a wonderful Christmas had by all.

  1. Dear Tom, Martha, Laura, and Jaclyn,
I hope your Christmas was happy, and that you were all able to spend some time just being together. Bill and I were together alone this year. Bill did go to visit one of his sisters for a few days last week.
Things are going well here. We have a lot to be thankful for – not the least of which is Tom, Martha, Laura and Jaclyn.
     Love Always,
     Catherine
