– Laura’s graduation day went very well for her. She went with a friend and they both got their hair cranked up in the morning. Laura asked to have Maureen Masterson do her hair and they really enjoyed the final result. Martha got some flowers to braid into Laura’s hair and it turned out great. Laura seemed to be floating all day. We could tell she liked being dressed up and was looking forward to seeing all her friends at the evenings celebration.

The graduation was held at the Chatham Cultural Centre and thank goodness the A/C was working great. It’s been SO HOT and humid lately! 
   
 The kids were told to arrive early and they just kind of gathered around and complimented one another on how well they “cleaned-up” :) There were a few girls that have never worn a dress before this event. All these young teens wobbling around in high heels, practising walking so they don’t stumble crossing the stage to get their diploma. 
 The graduation ceremony lasted about 2.5hrs and was followed by a grad-only dance. The parents were asked to pick up their children at EXACTLY 11pm. It looked like all the kids had a great day.
