Last night was nice and balmy so for a pre-Mother’s Day treat, Laura tended to our first ever campfire with our new landscaping. It was nice sitting around the fire pit with the sounds of bubbling water and night creatures all around us.
Today we had Irene out to join us for a mid day luncheon feast of fresh fruits, home made breads, and a baked casserole. To top it all off Laura brought out her scratch Strawberry Angelfood Cake with whipped cream topping. Jaclyn tried repeatedly to call Martha and finally got her chance to wish her and Grandma a warm and happy Mother’s Day. See continue link for a few snapshots.

I was talking to mom this evening and she really did enjoy herself on mother’s day.
And Laura – it was a great looking cake – and a really nice picture of you too.
I was so happy to see pictures of Irene at the farm. She went through a rough time at Christmas and she probably prayed to feel the sun on her face and see another spring and Mother’s day. Laura you are just amazing. You treated us all to that wonderful fresh strawberry cake. I think we all had a big piece and ate it with our eyes over the internet. Spring is hear! or did we jump right into summer?
