The installation people from Airnet just left and announced there is no way we can have broadband internet at this time. Airnet is constructing a wireless network for the whole Chatham-Kent area and we cannot connect to their Chatham tower because it is obstructed by the neighbours woodlot. No way to go around it or over it and this broadband internet service requires a direct line of sight to the tower.

Could you construct your own tower to clear the wood shed?
It’s the neighbour’s bush or woodlot that’s in the way (about 500 meters distant). All the mature trees are about 60 feet high and our house is on a lower elevation than the woodlot to start with. You’d need about a 75′ self-standing tower and who’s to say this new internet service is dependable enough to go through all the added expense and trouble.
The ironic part is we have this huge tower about 750 meters away that bombards us with all this french language programming that interferes with the network TV broadcasts from Detroit.
