TGIF and the first week of the school year over and done
with. Only another 38 weeks until summer vacation:>) Something new this year is early start times for both Laura and I. The alarm goes off at 6:15am, the bus comes at 7:10 and I have to be at school by 8:05. The best thing is we both get home earlier.
School is going great so far this year. The teachers at my school had a pleasant surprise this afternoon when it was announced many split grade classrooms would turn to straights. I was one of the lucky ones and my 3/4 changed to a straight Gr 3 of 24 students. Hurray!

Martha, it will be so hard to wake up so early each morning since you/we have been sleeping in each day of the summer. Takes one to know one.
I’m so glad that you have a reasonably-sized class with one grade only(although what I would do with 24 8 and 9 year olds I have no idea).
