Last Monday, Irene moved down the hall to room 246. Her room was scheduled to get a make-over including new bathroom, closet removed for a wardrobe, updated heating, ceiling, paint and drapes.
I went in on Sunday and helped pack up all the books, pictures and nicknacks etc. A volunteer helped transport all her belongings down the hall and set up the new room. All in all the move went very smooth and Irene is comfortable in her new surroundings.
The new room is a private with a very large bathroom including a vanity and ample counterspace which she never had before. It is across from the old elevators. The colour scheme is two tone green shades and her window looks out across to Dr Trinca’s lovely gardens. There is lots of room for a pizza party!
Martha, once again I feel very lucky and thankful that you are a part of our family. I called mom last night about 7:15 and didn’t get an answer. Now I know that she was trading spaces.
Uh-OH, Copper Terrace just called and left a message. They have once again moved Irene. They moved her to the third floor while they do the extensive renovations. The reason they moved her out of room 246 was because they wanted to put two residence in it. It always comes down to money doesnt’t it without thinking of the person! We haven’t talked to Irene yet so we do not know her feelings about this. They have not reconnected her phone yet. We will keep you posted.
