Well I can not believe it… when I drove home from work today there were 4 block line ups for gas at every station. Jackie had warned me last night the talk at the newspaper was a 50 cent price hike for gas. I drove across town to a gas station on Hwy#2 thinking perhaps the lines were shorter, and I was right. The gas was at yesterdays price and I topped up at $1.04 a litre. Else where in Chatham when I drove back home the price gouging was as high as, get this… $1.79
I tanked up on Tuesday night for 96.6 at the Canadian Tire. Nick said that the city prices are $1.07 to $1.09 for regular. That was for yesterday and today. Wesley phoned to say that Welland is $2.00 and that the regular is sold out everywhere around. He had to tank up with premium to drive to Toronto for tonights Jays game. Talk about price speculation over Rita!!!
Hi again. I tanked Nick’s Volvo up today at 5pm (Thurs)and the price was $1.03.2 The guy tanking up beside me said he drove all the way from Guelph after phoning a friend. The price there was $2.80
What a roller coaster of prices. I experienced gas station rage today. Two guys were going at it and screaming the f-word because one guy was filling up gerry cans while there were huge line ups. I was in Barrie dropping Brian off at his weekend ski dryland training camp. Gas was 98.2
