Martha was sitting deep in thought, nibbling her nails, and then blurts out, “hey… lets paint the outside of the house today.” My reply, “Hmph… What?” Well I’m just thinking of what you can do today she says!

 
 How about finishing inside stuff first? We’ve had inside the house painted about 19 mths ago and we still haven’t replaced the rug, refinish hardwoods, curtains… etc. The living room windows have been getting worse each year and I’m starting to think they will never make it through another winter. 
  We have been holding off as long as possible because I knew the sticker shock would put me into a coma. We shopped a few places and decided on what we wanted. Yesterday we committed to replacing the 11′ window in living room, walkout garden doors in the kitchen where the back windows are, garage bathroom, and the one basement window near the front door. The salesman said he had never made anyone SHREEK before me. Oh well it’s not like Laura really needs braces or wants to go to college.
