Lots happening this year on the 1st of July for Canada Day. Everyone loves a parade including the Gilliers. We set off to Chatham with our lawn chairs, sunscreen and sodas for the parade. We found a shady spot on the Kornacker’s driveway on King Street just down from Lacroix Street.
As you can see in the picture we had a mystery visitor! Jackie and Josh dropped in for some Chatham Kent family and festivities. After the parade we went out for a bite to eat and found ourselves at an Irish Pub called Auld Kelly’s on Richmond. We had a cold pint of Murphy’s and Cornish Pasties which is a meat pie with peas, carrots and pearl onions and homecut fries.
To end a great day we had a campfire, reminisced the year and toasted marshmallows. Laura likes a blazing fire, Martha likes burning embers, Jackie likes a warm glow and Tom likes to sit back and enjoy his girls.
What a wonderful way to spend some time together. Hi Jackie and Laura. I’m thinking of you.
