Nirvana Flavours of India

Eileen, Tom and I had a great and memorable dining experience on Friday. We went to Nirvana, an Indian curry house on Brunel Road in Mississauga. We loved the atmosphere, the music and beautiful guilded paintings. The service was excellent and we were royally pampered.

For starters we had papadam appetizers that tantalized our tastebuds. I had a wonderful strawberry lassi that balanced the heat of the spices. Our waiter helped us with the main course selections. We chose jhinga hariali (Prawns seasoned with mint and coriander), murg parwana ( better than buttered chicken), rogan josh (lamb) and gosh dum biryani (basmati rice with lamb cooked with a pastry lid). The meals came bright with spice, texture, colour and were so delicious we could not decide which was our favourite. We had a doggie bag that found its way down to Harwich and we enjoyed another fine curry dinner. Nirvana definitely hit the spot.

  1. Good food, good clothes, good picture, good company. No wonder they call it Nirvana.

Happy spring break to you all.
