Spring Planting

Today is 05-05-2005 and Cinco de Mayo. It is also the first day of farming for Tom! He and Bob were busy working ground and planting corn around the house and bush till dark. These two make a great team and are good for each other. They compliment and balance each others skills and temperaments. Hope everyone gets and a good sleep for an early start tomorrow. The weatherman is predicting warmer weather.

  1. I just got back from the Thamesville farm. Today is just beautiful and perfect for planting corn. Tom and Bob have been at it since the crack of dawn. When they are done the Camden farm they will be off to Bob’s. I took them out submarine sandwiches for lunch and we had a tailgate picnic in the sun.

  2. You look like you are having the perfect day to plant. I hope that you did not forget to latherup with sun screen. We had a steak bbq dinner outside tonight. I sweapt the pool deck and washed down the patio furniture and the next thing I knew We were sipping wine and chowing down. Horray for spring!!!

  3. What another beautiful day for farming on Tuesday! The corn at the Lachine farm is all planted and now to just wait for a small sprinkling of rain. Tom moved the machinery to the Howard farm and left early this morning to work ground. He will get the corn in this afternoon. The weather is suppose to get cold tomorrow.
Big breaking news: They paved the Mull Side Road yesterday. Hurray!!! It was is such bad shape you did not even want to ride a bicycle down it. Now it is all fixed just in time for rollerblading season.
