Laura and her friend Jenny left this morning to be in Chatham’s Christmas Day Parade. They helped the local letter carriers union hand out candy and collected children’s letters to Santa as the parade wound it’s way through the downtown route. Tonight called for a girls sleep over and gingerbread crafts.
Dad’s going to have to build an extension onto the implement shed if you girls are going to have enough room to cobble together all the gifts that the little children asked Santa for.

I believe with all the cutbacks in Chatham-Kent, all the girls had to do was drop a very small lump of coal in each child’s stocking.
