Jaclyn got hit by a mini-van on Thursday night while dashing across the street to catch a street car connection. She was on her way home from dropping off a project at 11pm and tried to get to the stop before it left. BAM! She goes flying about 6 feet in the air and hits the pavement skidding. The minivan gets the front end smashed up, the windshield broke in, and Jaclyn’s on the ground wondering what happened.
Click picture to enlarge. She gets up and shakes herself off and tries to get on the streetcar. That’s when all the people made her sit back down and wait for the ambulance because they had called 911. She had a cut on the bridge of her nose and her face was covered in blood. Her new winter coat got soiled and it pissed her off. The ambulance arrived and made her lay on that stretcher board and that’s when she complained about pain. Not from the accident mind you… but the board felt hard. Tough as nails that young lady.
She went to the emergency ward and was very pleased with the level of service the workers gave her. Jaclyn declined stitches for her facial gash (she hates needles) and opted for the butterfly adhesive tape instead. Here’s a picture of her 3 days later with colourful bruising. The ambulance attendant told her she still had a chrome piece from the van embedded in her lip. She groaned and said “you sound as bad as my Dad”. She must of felt OK because she hit the pubs the following night with friends from Humber College. Thank GOODNESS everyone was OK!
Wow! I’m glad to hear she’s okay. I like the crack about the piece of metal embedded in her chin. She’s lucky to come out of it with just bumps and bruises.
So glad you’re not badly hurt Jaclyn. I’ll be thinking about you

Jackie when I spoke with you the other night yu told me that your Mom said that, “angels picked you up and carried you to safety”. Your mom was right you know. We send our love to you.
