Friday evening was still young so we headed to Chatham to see what was happening on King Street. For the RM celebrations they had a classic car cruise along “The Drag”. The downtown was a buzz with people, revving engines, and rock and roll. It brought back memories of the 70?s.
We parked by the Wellington Street Caf? and strolled back along Janke Street to see the festivities at the Metro Lounge and along King Street by the Blind Dog Bar and Grill. There were still all kinds of vintage and muscle cars parked and cruising. We heard the tunes and were drawn to Tecumseh Park where Mitch Rider and the Detroit Wheels were playing. We got in free and caught the last few songs and the encore. What a great outing for a balmy summer evening.
