Original Story (CP) June 07, 2002–
For the last seven months, Larry and Yvonne Obchansky have not splurged on fancy restaurants, bought a new Mercedes or gone shopping in boat stores. They could have, of course, if only they had know they have been millionaires the whole time.
The couple from Blaine Lake, Sask., had been stockpiling their lottery tickets, not paying much attention to them, until a horoscope suggested: “You will prosper this Saturday. Don’t you wish everything was this easy?”
“It was actually spring cleaning, I guess, and I had to get all of my tickets away from my telephone,” explained Larry. “I’ve got them on a board around my telephone and it was getting too thick, too many tickets. So we thought we’d just clean up and found it.” The Western 649 ticket was the winner for the Oct. 24, 2001, draw.
[Hmm…] I wonder what could be in our basement?
Hey, maybe if I do some spring cleaning in the basement I might be so lucky!
I know that whenever I rummage through a “junk drawer” I always find a silver chain, gold braclet or earring casually tossed in… to be happily found again. Martha it must be in the genes.
