Taped to the mirror in our bathroom this morning (so her parents didn’t miss it) was a letter from Humber College with a highlighted mark over “…attaining an Honours standing…” It was a very nice surprise :)

Dear Jaclyn:
I am writing to congratulate you for your outstanding semester of academic achievement, for Winter 2002. ‘Attaining an Honours standing is a demonstration of both hard work and self-discipline. You should take pride in this accomplishment.
Exceptionally high grades typically reflect not only strong academic achievement, but also a high degree of practical knowledge and the ability to apply it within your field of specialization. It is this element that will be critical for your continued success after you graduate.
We in the School of Media Studies are proud of your accomplishments and wish you continued success in your future endeavours. You are a credit to yourself and the College. Best wishes.
Sincerely,
William Hanna
Dean School of Media Studies

Congratulations to you. I am so very proud of you. I hope you are proud of you too. You definitely are a credit to the school honours or not. My academic career was like yours until I found my niche and learned that even I could get A’s. Once I learned that, it was a whole new world for me. I still take course. I know how you are feeling. enjoy every single thought and moment. Yesssss
