Merry Christmas all from Chautauqa, New York. We arrived yesterday after driving through a whiteout from Niagara to Erie. That area is so renound for its unpredictable snow squalls. We drove west towards Erie, PA and then headed into the cottage country. The area is like Muskoka but with a Currier and Iyves atmosphere. We are staying on the “Chautauqua Institute” which is a gated area around Lake Chautauqua. We went to 10pm/midnight mass. I packed a parmeseasn shrimp and pasta dinner, wine and salad, and Christmas sweets, Chistmas table cloth and candles etc. I even have a turkey to cook for tonight. We are in a chalet style place for a week of R’n’R. Happy day everyone.
Merry Christmas from the McDonald’s in Calgary.
Hey there Ian and Karen. What do you think of your sisters flying the coup for a change of pace from the rigors of daily life? We toasted a glass of Tuscan Rosso Conero to you tonight, Cheers.
Merry Christmas to all the Bako’s. Your chalet, loft and cozy fireplace sounds very inviting and the winter wonderland you were hoping for. You are a true sport to cook a turkey with all the fixings. We heated in the microwave oven a rotisserie chicken, baked potatoes and green beans. We even have leftovers for Boxing Day brunch. On Christmas Eve we went out to Snug Harbour for seafood. It was a scenic spot with delicious meals. I had grouper with sweet potatoes. Our Christmas Eve church was a Nondenominational barefoot service on the beach with caols, scripture readings and a visit from Old Saint Nick himself.
