Sea of Red and White greets Canada Day Parade!

canada day paradeOn Canada Day Laura and I went to Tecumseh Park to have lunch, take in the entertainment and watch the dragon boat races. We dawned our official red and white colours and lined our lawn chairs along King Street at Kornackers. Lots of teacher friends gathered there as well to enjoy the Canada Day Parade. The parade began at the Courthouse on Grand Ave., and continued down Lacroix and King Streets to Tecumseh Park. The parade featured local celebrities, including Fergie Jenkins, Diane Gagner, Dave Vankesteren and Pat Hoy. The curbside kids young and old seemed to enjoy the EZE Riders, who squirted water at them as they drove past.

  1. I love a parade too. Can’t convince anyone in my family to go though. We went to Julie’s annual bbq this year and Nick did all the cooking. He did all his socializing while people were in line for their burgers. The food was a plenty.
