We had a great visit with Juan Sr and Jr. after we convinced them to cut Ottawa from the route and stay in our area for a few days. They had a chance to visit the city and we had a chance to reminisce. Juan hasn’t changed at all and remembers everything with such excitement. They left with chocolate cake in their bellies and 500 km on their bikes heading west on the Caledon Trail. Hopefully it won’t take another 30 years to visit again.

We went to pick up our dos amigos in Guelph and ferried them back to the farm on the 27th. Juan Sr. called and thought that perhaps Jr has had his fill of bicycling in Ontario. I think he only had that statement half correct. The oppressive heat and humidity of Ontario’s summer had taken their toll on our wayward travellers. :sweating:
On Saturday we drove the Purons back to Detroit so they could get their bikes safely crated for their flight home early Sunday morning. We all hope they had an enjoyable experience during their visit to Ontario. Please stay in touch.
