Out on a limb

tree trimmingWith the weather, dry and sunny we had a visitor in the backyard today. We had our trees pruned and it was quite the sight to see. The arborist maneuvered the Black Locust limbs like a monkey. It cost us a bundle but it was well worth the entertainment and the tree needed the attention.

Let it shine, let it shine!

Oh what a beautiful spring day in Chatham today. The weather got up to 26ºC, the sun was shining bright, and we could leave our winter coats in the closet. Tom was in his glory as he set out on his motorcycle for an inaugural 2007 spring ride around Kent County. I went to town and had lunch and spent the day with my friend Debbie. Laura went to visit Jason and walk his dog Odie. Even though we ended up going our separate ways today, we all had great fun.

They’re Back

On Saturday morning we got a message from our friend Tom T that the Tundra Swans were back from their short stay down south. They spent the night on Rondeau Bay and had moved up to a field on the Mull Side Road. Tom and I set out on a road trip to check out the flock. Tom had his zoom lens on his camera and got some pretty good shots of these regal birds. I goofed and got some good shots of the top of the truck’s sunroof. :blush: Continue reading
